FARGO - Streets adjacent to the intersection of First Avenue North and University Drive will have lane closures for traffic signal installation as part of the downtown one-way to two-way street conversion project.

Closures will begin today and are expected to reopen by May 24, according to a release from the city.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on University Drive North during this process. Turning lanes onto University Drive North from First Avenue to both the east and west of University Drive North will be limited to one turn lane at times.

The street sections that will be closed near the First Avenue North and University Drive intersection will be changing often, the release stated, so drivers and pedestrians are urged to use caution and to pay attention to closed road signage or detours and lane mergers as they are implemented.
