Fans of blue-collar comedy will have a chance to "git-r-done" in Grand Forks, N.D., when Larry the Cable Guy, left, performs at the Alerus Center on April 16.

The comedian made a national name for himself with radio appearances on the Bob and Tom Show and as one of the four members of Jeff Foxworthy's touring showcase of southern comics, the Blue-Collar Comedy Tour.

Born Dan Whitney, the fledgling actor lent his voice to the animated film "Cars" in 2006, as well as starring in his own film, "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector."

Reno Collier will open the 7:30 p.m. show.
