Leonard, N.D., man hurt in car accident

LEONARD, N.D. - An 18-year-old resident here who rolled his vehicle after avoiding a collision with another car was in satisfactory condition Friday night at Fargo's MeritCare Hospital.

LEONARD, N.D. - An 18-year-old resident here who rolled his vehicle after avoiding a collision with another car was in satisfactory condition Friday night at Fargo's MeritCare Hospital.

Brandon Jackson was southbound on Cass County 5 four miles west of Leonard at about 3:30 p.m. Friday, when the driver of an eastbound car on Highway 46 failed to yield at an intersection, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Department.

Jackson took evasive action to avoid the car driven by Christopher Fettig, 17, of Ypsilanti, but slid into the ditch and rolled, the department said.

Jackson was treated at the scene and airlifted to MeritCare.
