Lidgerwood man seriously injured in Richland crash

WAHPETON, N.D. – A Lidgerwood, N.D., man was hospitalized with serious injuries Saturday following a two-vehicle crash in Richland County.

According to a report released by the Richland County Sheriff's Office:

Kyle Wahler, 29, of Lidgerwood was driving north on Richland County Road 1 when his vehicle apparently crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck traveling south.

Wahler was taken to a hospital in Sisseton, S.D., and later transported to a Fargo hospital.

The driver of the pickup, Tyler Braun, 17, of Rosholt, S.D., suffered minor injuries, the report said.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to the sheriff's office said, which said charges are pending against Wahler.
