FARGO -- A second-grade class at Bennett Elementary held a VIP event Thursday.
That stands for Very Important Poetry and they also had an audience of VIPs -- Very Important Parents.
After a quick lunch, the students read their works aloud.
The class teacher, Kaley Mari, says she usually hosts an “author’s luncheon,” but she decided to host a “'poet’s luncheon” this year because her students embraced the subject.
She says they even would talk about it during recess and that's how you know they're dedicated.
