PARK RAPIDS, Minn. - The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office released the identity of a 40-year-old woman Wednesday who was found dead here morning and said she is a homicide victim.
The 40-year-old man arrested in connection with Marie Hennagir's death also made his initial court appearance today.
A preliminary autopsy report lists Hennagir's death as asphyxia by strangulation, according to a news release.
Authorities arrested Richard Derek Wright, 40, of Belle-ville, Mich., Tuesday in connection with her death.
An unidentified woman found Hennagir dead in the living room of a Park Rapids residence and called 911 when confronted by Wright. Authorities responding to the 3:42 a.m. emergency call found Wright and the woman struggling and arrested him.

On Wednesday, Wright was arraigned in Hubbard County District Court on charges of second degree murder, second degree sexual conduct, attempted first degree murder, third degree assault and inter-fering with a 911 call.
District Judge Robert D. Tiffany set Wright's unconditional bail at $1.2 million or conditional bail at $750,000, the release said.
Wright remains in custody at the Hubbard County Jail, the release said.
