FARGO - A 31-year-old man posted $500 bail this morning on charges that he possessed child pornography.
Chad Patrick O'Connell, West Fargo, posted the bail following an initial appearance in Cass County District Court on a felony charge of possession of obscene materials involving minors.
Court documents state:
O'Connell is accused of possessing the materials between July 18, 2007 and April 2.
He was charged after authorities executed a search warrant on his home and discovered the images.

Authorities performed a forensic examination of his computer and determined some of the images were accessed "just minutes before the search warrant was served."
O'Connell's next court appearance is set for Nov. 13.
