Man faces charges in Wahpeton meth bust

WAHPETON, N.D.

WAHPETON, N.D. - A 45-year-old man faces a variety of drug-related charges after authorities seized methamphetamine during a search of a house in Wahpeton on Wednesday.

Authorities said Daryl Johnson was being held in the Richland County Correctional Facility on suspicion of possession of meth with intent to deliver, manufacturing meth and marijuana possession.

Bond for Johnson was set at $75,000.

Officers with the Southeast Multi-County Agency Drug Task Force and the Wahpeton Police Department were assisted by the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Richland County Sheriff's Department in executing a search warrant at 822 4th Ave. S. in Wahpeton.

The search yielded a quarter ounce of meth as well as drug paraphernalia, a small amount of marijuana and $1,550 in cash.
