FARGO - Fargo police are investigating a second dead body discovered lying on city streets by a passer-by this week.
Lt. Joel Vettel said a passer-by discovered the body of a 73-year-old male lying on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of Broadway in north Fargo at around 6 a.m. Friday.
There's no obvious sign of trauma to the man's body, said Vettel, and no foul play is suspected.
Vettel said it's just a coincidence that two bodies this week have been discovered lying on public sidewalks during morning commute times.
He said that while the locations and time made the discoveries high-profile, officers respond to hundreds of unattended deaths per year - they're just usually found in more private locations.
