A man is in serious condition after being assaulted early Friday morning at Mick's Office in Moorhead.
The victim - whose name was not released - was with friends at the bar near closing time, Moorhead police said.
One friend was involved in an altercation inside the bar and later in the parking lot. At some point during the incident, the victim was struck in the head, police said.
He stayed at a friend's residence in south Fargo for the night and was found unresponsive Friday morning.
Moorhead officers were dispatched to the Innovis emergency room about 9:30 a.m. Friday after the victim was transported there by ambulance.

The man had surgery at MeritCare for his head injury.
The Moorhead Police Department is investigating the assault and is requesting assistance from the public.
