RUGBY, N.D. – One man was killed and another man was injured when a vehicle struck a commercial truck Wednesday morning 11 miles north of Rugby.
Both vehicles were traveling northbound on Highway 3 around 10 a.m. when the truck began to turn into a residence just over a hill. The trailing car, a Chevrolet Impala, struck the truck in the right rear, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The car rolled and came to rest in the shoulder and caught fire, a news release said.
The driver of the truck, Darek Falcon, 34, of Belcourt, was injured in the crash.
Falcon was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The other driver was not restrained, the patrol said.
