Man pleads not guilty to charges in killing

MINOT, N.D. - A man charged with aggravated assault and robbery in connection with the shooting death of another man in an alley has pleaded not guilty.

MINOT, N.D. - A man charged with aggravated assault and robbery in connection with the shooting death of another man in an alley has pleaded not guilty.

Bradley Davis, 26, of Minot is accused of fighting with Joshua Velasquez and swinging a scythe at him. He also is accused of being part of a robbery the night before Velasquez was killed.

Antonio Stridiron, 31, of Minot is accused of shooting Velasquez, 27, to death July 29 after a fight. Stridiron has pleaded not guilty to a Class AA murder charge, and to robbery.

Northwest District Judge Doug Mattson has scheduled pretrial conferences for both men for Feb. 2.
