A judge sentenced a Jamestown, N.D., resident to 10 years in federal prison for conspiracy to sell meth.
Steven Troy Anderson, 23, pleaded guilty Thursday in Fargo's U.S. District Court and will face five years of probation after his release from prison.
Authorities are conducting an assessment to determine where Anderson should be sent to serve his sentence. He is free from custody until Sept. 29, said Chris Myers, assistant U.S. attorney.
There are no federal prisons in North Dakota.
Stutsman County authorities searched the home of Anderson and Victoria LeAnn Harmon, 25, in February and confiscated $15,000 in cash, 2 pounds of marijuana, 2 ounces of meth and four ecstasy pills.
