A man says he will plead guilty to assaulting a witness who testified in a southeast North Dakota drug case.
Travis "Scooter" Berg is charged with retaliating against a witness, victim or informant. Authorities say the incident took place in a Lisbon bar last summer. Sentencing is set for June 13.
Authorities say Berg struck Tyler Henricks in the head with a pool cue and caused a gash that required stitches. The complaint says Berg had previously harassed Henricks and called him a "snitch."
Henricks told investigators the assault was retaliation for his grand jury testimony against Benjamin Laudert. Laudert pleaded guilty in May 2007 to a federal drug conspiracy charge.
