Metro Area Transit will offer incentives this week to encourage Fargo-Moorhead residents to take the bus.

Try Transit Week is Monday through Saturday.

Residents can ride the bus for 25 cents all week long. They also will have a chance to win prizes and enjoy refreshments.

"You can get unlimited rides on Metro Area Transit for less than it costs to fill your tank with gas once," said Fargo Transit Administrator Julie Bommelman. "Taking the bus can add up to huge savings in your monthly budget."

Also as part of Try Transit Week, senior citizens will ride free all day Thursday. People who ride the evening routes after 6:15 p.m. Friday will get a free gift. Youths in kindergarten through 12th grade will ride free all day Saturday.
