FARGO - Road conditions improved enough by early Saturday afternoon for MATBUS to resume its Fargo and West Fargo routes. The Ground Transportation Center in downtown Fargo also remains in full operation.
Moorhead's fixed routes and MAT Paratransit services were canceled for the remainder of Saturday.
MATBUS had planned to stop all of its Saturday routes at 11:45 a.m. because of extremely icy roads caused by freezing rain. Fargo police had responded to more than 40 accidents since midnight because of road conditions.
Transit staff members were continuing to review weather and road conditions throughtout the afternoon and evening.
