Memorial Day ceremonies planned at Riverside, Sunset moved to Fargo Civic Center

FARGO - Rain has forced two Memorial Day ceremonies planned at cemeteries here to be held inside.
Ceremonies planned for 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery and approximately 1 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery in Fargo will be held at the Fargo Civic Center at 11 a.m.
The color guard will perform their duties at the Civic Center but will still conduct salutes at the two cemeteries after the downtown ceremony concludes. The public is welcome to attend those salutes.
Here are the rest of the Memorial Day observances that were planned:
Fargo: The Fargo VFW will also conduct a military salute at 1 p.m. at the USS Robolo Submarine Memorial in Lindenwood Park.
Moorhead, Dilworth and Sabin, Minn.: The Moorhead American Legion Post 21 and Dilworth VFW Post 1223 color guards will be at the following locations: Veterans Memorial Bridge, 7 a.m.; Sunset Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, 8:45 a.m.; Elmwood Cemetery and Trinity Cemetery, both Sabin, 9:15 and 9:30 a.m., respectively; Evergreens, Moorhead, 10 a.m.; Prairie Home, Moorhead, 10:15 a.m.; St. Joseph’s Cemetery North, 10:30 a.m.; Riverside Cemetery North, Moorhead, 10:40 a.m. A program will begin at 11 a.m. at the National Guard Armory, 1002 15th Ave. N., Moorhead. There will be a flag-raising ceremony at the Moorhead American Legion Post at 1 p.m., followed by a meal of barbecues and chips.
Dilworth: The Concordia Lutheran Church north of Dilworth will hold a Memorial Day program at 10 a.m. in the church cemetery. Lunch will follow.
West Fargo: A flag-raising ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m. at the West Fargo VFW on Sheyenne Street. A program will follow at 11 a.m. The ladies will serve a lunch of scalloped potatoes and ham.
Harwood: A service is planned at 10 a.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery. A freewill lunch will follow at the American Legion. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held in the legion.
Horace: The Horace American Legion Post 293 will host a dedication service for the new Veterans Memorial at 11:50 a.m. at the Horace Senior Center. The service will be followed by a potluck lunch. Earlier in the day, the Legion will host memorial services at the following cemeteries: Clemenson Cemetery, 9:05 a.m.; St. Benedict Cemetery, 9:30 a.m.; Lower Wild Rice/Red River Cemetery, 9:50 a.m.; Salem Cemetery, 10:05 a.m.; Horace Cemetery, 10:25 a.m.; Sheyenne River, 10:45 a.m.; St. John’s Cemetery, 11 a.m.; Brinke Cemetery, 11:15 a.m.
