MENAHGA, Minn. - A 37-year-old Menahga man was killed in a crash Monday morning in Wadena County.

According to Sheriff Michael D. Carr, deputies arrived at 5:18 a.m. on Monday, May 18, at the intersection of Twin Lakes Road and 384th Street in Blueberry Township and discovered one man deceased in the vehicle.

The sheriff's office said Edwin Andrew Odland was eastbound on Twin Lakes Road when he over-corrected his 1994 Ford F-150 pickup while going into a gradual curve. Odland went into the north ditch and the vehicle collided with a power pole, Carr said.

Odland was not wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, Carr said. Odland was found dead at the scene. The accident is under investigation by the sheriff's office, Carr said.

The Menahga First Responders, Menahga Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol and Wadena County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
