MeritCare to build green clinic in Mayville

MAYVILLE, N.D. - MeritCare Mayville and Union Hospital recently broke ground on MeritCare's first green building, a clinic attached to Union Hospital.

MAYVILLE, N.D. - MeritCare Mayville and Union Hospital recently broke ground on MeritCare's first green building, a clinic attached to Union Hospital.

The clinic is being built in preparation of the January 2010 merger of MeritCare Mayville clinic and Union Hospital.

Project goals include positive environmental consideration, reduction of energy consumption, use of recyclable materials and products, and the promotion of clean indoor air quality with the use of non-toxic, low- or no-VOC paints.

The project should be complete in fall 2010.
