CLOQUET, Minn. - It could be a prosperous new year for someone in Carlton County in northeast Minnesota. Or maybe it was someone visiting the county.
Either way, according to Minnesota State Lottery communications manager Debbie Hoffman, a $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in the county on Nov. 1, but thus far no one has stepped forward to claim it.
No worries - if you are the lucky ticket holder and are simply waiting for the impact of your good luck to settle in, you still have time to go public. Hoffman said winners of lottery prizes have one year from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.
“In this case, the winner has until 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, to claim the prize because Nov. 1 is on a Sunday,” said Hoffman.
Hoffman was unwilling to give any clue as to just where exactly the ticket was sold, however.

“We will not release the name of the store where the winning ticket was sold until after the winning ticket is presented and it is validated as a winning ticket,” she said.
In case you have an inkling that the lucky winner just might be you, the winning numbers are: 01–03–13–25–38–17.
