The American Red Cross, Minn-Kota Chapter, holds a double celebration Thursday.
Its open house, from 4-6 p.m., celebrates both the chapter's 85th birthday and the opening of its new permanent home at 2602 12th St. N., Fargo.
The dedication and ribbon-cutting begin at 4 p.m.
The new facility means increased service programs for communities in the chapter's service area.
The Red Cross began serving Cass and Clay counties in 1917, when three chapters were chartered. Through the years, the chapters merged and became the Minn-Kota Chapter in 1964.
