MNDOT announces 2011 construction projects

ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced a nearly $900 million transportation construction program for 2011.

ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced a nearly $900 million transportation construction program for 2011.

Some of the area projects included among this year's 258 state highway construction:

  • Resurfacing the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 from Barnesville to Downer.
  • Resurfacing the eastbound lanes of Highway 10 from Hawley to Detroit Lakes.
  • Resurfacing the westbound lanes of Highway 10 from Frazee to Detroit Lakes.
  • Replacing three bridges and resurfacing Highway 9 from the Norman/Clay County line to Highway 10, including installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 10.
  • Constructing a roundabout on Highway 75 at Clay County Road 12 (60th Avenue South) south of Moorhead;
  • Resurfacing Highway 29 from Wadena to Highway 210, including replacing culverts.
  • Resurfacing the eastbound lanes of I-94 from Rothsay to Highway 59 and resurfacing Highway 210 from I-94 to Pebble Lake Road.
  • Resurfacing Highway 34 from Park Rapids to Akeley, including installing turn lanes and replacing culverts.
