MOORHEAD - A Moorhead grocery store worker faces felony theft charges after police accused her of running a coupon scam and skimming money of the till at the Moorhead Cash Wise grocery store.

Eva Kristen Keblar, 39, of Moorhead, was charged Tuesday in Clay County District Court with one count of felony theft.

Court documents state a store manager noticed last Sept. 20 that Keblar's till at the store at 3300 Highway 10 E.t was $100 short.

Store surveillance video showed Keblar entering a "Non Sale" to get into the register, then pocketing the cash. Video from other days at the store showed similar behavior.

Documents state store loss prevention officers interviewed Keblar, who admitted taking money from the register. She also admitted taking money through a "couponing" scam, in which she took fake refunds and coupons that would normally have been considered paid to customers. Instead, Keblar took the cash herself at the end of her work shift.

Keblar told loss prevention officers she took the money, which court documents estimate totals about $1,237.19, to support a drug habit. Her next court appearance is set for Sept. 10.
