MOORHEAD — The League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley and the Moorhead Public Library will be hosting two public information forums for the upcoming Moorhead City Council election and the Moorhead School District Bond referendum .
A special election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, on the school bond referendum and to fill one vacant city council seat in each of Wards 3 and 4.
The Moorhead City Council Candidates Forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Moorhead Public Library, 118 5th St. S, first with candidates from Ward 3, followed at 7:30 p.m. by candidates from Ward 4.
Candidates will answer written questions from the audience. The public forum on the Moorhead School District referendum will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Moorhead Public Library. Representatives from the Moorhead School District will explain the referendum and answer questions from the audience. These forums are free and open to the public. Moorhead Community Access Media (MCAM) will record the forums for playback on Moorhead’s cable access channels and on MCAM’s website.
