Moorhead police issued 41 minor-consuming-alcohol tickets Friday and Saturday night as part of a special alcohol enforcement effort, Lt. Chris Carey said Sunday.
Known as the "party patrol," the special push covered the areas around Minnesota State University Moorhead and Concordia College, which held its homecoming over the weekend, Carey said.
While the citation numbers were high for a weekend, they were below normal for a special event such as homecoming, Carey said.
He said community education efforts and stepped up-law enforcement may have helped keep citations down.
