Moorhead mall hosts 4-H show

Clay County 4-H and the Moorhead Center Mall will present Center of Fashions Saturday at 4 p.m., with 4-H members and other area youth modeling garments.

Clay County 4-H and the Moorhead Center Mall will present Center of Fashions Saturday at 4 p.m., with 4-H members and other area youth modeling garments.

Center Mall merchants Vanity, Maurices and Herbergers will loan outfits to the event as well as teach the participants tips and fundamentals of accessorizing, layering and putting together an outfit at an affordable cost. Merle Norman Cosmetics will help with useful tips on make-up design.

Minneapolis choreographer Richard Moody will work with youth on modeling and presentation. Moody has worked extensively with the 4-H fashion show at the Minnesota State Fair for a number of years.

Stacey Deffenbaugh of KVLY-TV will narrate Center of Fashions. She is co-host of KVLY's morning news show, Valley Today.

Youth ages 6 to 18 will be preparing for the show and learning techniques beginning at noon. The public show begins at 4 p.m. near the water fountain area of the Moorhead Center Mall. For more information contact Clay County Extension at 299-5020.
