A Moorhead man was hit by a vehicle while walking on the 5100 block of Amber Valley Parkway about 9:45 p.m. Friday, said Fargo police Sgt. Jim VanLith.

Police said Saturday that Jonathan Brammer had apparently slipped and fallen into the road and was struck by a vehicle.

A witness said Brammer was hit by a red pickup that immediately left the scene.

Brammer was transported by ambulance to Fargo's Essentia Health, where he was being treated, VanLith said.

A driver was later arrested for driving under the influence in an area north of Interstate 94. However, it was unclear if the driver was involved in the hit-and-run south of the interstate, VanLith said.
