A Moorhead man wants to plead guilty to the three counterfeit charges he faces in Fargo's U.S. District Court, according to court documents filed Friday.

Earl St. Claire is accused of making and passing counterfeit bills in various denominations.

He pleaded not guilty in November.

His attorney, Tatum Lindbo, said in a letter to the court Friday that St. Claire wishes to change his plea and wants a hearing scheduled on the matter.

Court documents show St. Claire told police he used some of the money to buy drugs.
