FARGO - A 31-year-old Moorhead man admitted Monday to exposing himself to a 9-year-old girl and making lewd suggestions to her at a
co-worker's home in West Fargo after a picnic last July.
Aaron Elijah Bird was sentenced to serve six months in prison, with another six months suspended during two years of supervised probation. He'll receive 161 days of credit for time served.
Bird was initially charged with Class A felony gross sexual imposition and Class C felony solicitation of minors. He pleaded guilty Monday to reduced charges of indecent exposure and contributing to the deprivation of a minor.
In explaining the plea agreement, Assistant State's Attorney Leah Viste said, "The primary cause of this was the intoxication of the defendant."
