Crews will be spraying for mosquitoes in Moorhead and Mapleton on Thursday evening, if weather conditions permit.
Spraying is scheduled to take place in Moorhead between 8 p.m. and midnight.
The spray has very little toxicity to people and animals, according to Moorhead officials. As a general precaution, the city recommends people avoid the spray machines and avoid walking through spray clouds.
It must be at least 58 degrees with winds less than 10 mph for spraying to take place. If weather prohibits, spraying will be rescheduled for a later date.
For questions concerning the spray program - including requests to have the spray machine turned off as it passes your home - call Moorhead at (218) 299-5422.

Meanwhile, Cass County crews will spray in Mapleton beginning at 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
The ingredient in the spray is nontoxic, but residents are asked to stay inside when crews are out. Cass County crews will stop sprayers if people are in the vicinity or downwind of the application.
