MOORHEAD – Moorhead Area Public Schools will celebrate the opening of the district’s six new or newly renovated K-8 schools with open houses from 9-10:30 a.m. and a celebration of schools and dedication at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21.

Open houses at six school facilities will provide community members with an opportunity to tour the K-8 schools. Schools and their addresses are:

  • Horizon Middle School East Campus, 3601 12th Ave. S., Door E1
  • Horizon Middle School West Campus, 3601 12th Ave. S., Door W1
  • Dorothy Dodds Elementary School, 4400 24th Ave. S.
  • Ellen Hopkins Elementary School, 2020 11th St. S.
  • Robert Asp Elementary School, 910 11th St. N.
  • S.G. Reinertsen Elementary School, 1201 40th Ave. S.

Community members are invited to the celebration of schools and dedication at 11 a.m. in the Horizon Middle School Performing Arts Center, 3601 12th Ave. S., Moorhead. The celebration features music and theatrical performances by students of all ages and messages from school district and community representatives.
