The search for a suspicious vehicle came to an abrupt stop Tuesday morning for a Moorhead police officer.
Shortly before 2 a.m., officer John Lien was driving north in the 100 block of 16th Street South in Moorhead when he ran into a parked car.
An unoccupied Chevy Cavalier parked at 106 16th Street South and Lien's patrol car each received "slight to moderate" damage, according to a police report.
Lien didn't see the car because he was looking west toward the suspicious vehicle and another Moorhead squad car, the report said.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office responded to the non-injury accident. The 1993 Cavalier was registered to Charlyne Budack of Grafton, N.D.
