Because of the increased number of mosquitoes in recent days, the city of Moorhead will be spraying citywide Monday night if weather permits.

All spraying will begin about 8 p.m. and should be completed by midnight. The spray being used has little toxicity to people, pets, birds and other animals, but city officials recommend that residents not walk through the spray cloud.

In order to spray, wind speed needs to be less than 10 mph and the temperature should be at least 58 degrees.

Residents who have questions about the program or who want the spray machine turned off as it passes their home should call (218) 299-5422.
