Moorhead recently updated its CodeRED system, allowing message recipients to identify calls from the system. Message recipient's caller ID will read "Emergency Communications Network" or (866) 419-5000, depending on local telephone providers.
The system will be tested at 10:30 a.m. Monday with a call to all registered phone numbers in the database.
Another new feature allows residents to dial the number displayed on their Caller ID to hear an immediate replay of the last message.
If you are not sure that you are included in the database, log on to the City of Moorhead Web site at www.cityofmoorhead.com and click on the CodeRED logo. Residents without Internet access may call Moorhead City Hall at (218) 299-5305 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to supply information over the phone.
