FARGO - A 31-year-old Moorhead woman was arrested on Thursday night, suspected of being caught in the act as she tried to break into a Fargo church.

Fargo police got a call at 11:20 p.m. from a man who was inside St. Anthony's of Padua, a Catholic church at 710 10th St. S. The caller heard a crashing noise and told police he saw a woman reaching in a broken window to try to open the door, Sgt. Mark Lykken said.

The man, who was a deacon at the church, grabbed the woman's arm and held her until police arrived, Lykken said.

Police arrested Jeneice Alisha Muchow on suspicion of criminal trespass and of obstructing police. Lykken said an obstruction charge is possible because officers said Muchow wouldn't give her identification.
