African Interest Group, the network of African and Africanist scholars in the Fargo-Moorhead area, will host its annual picnic and thanksgiving celebration from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Gooseberry Park in south Moorhead.
The picnic will feature traditional African music, international cuisine and the trademark African roast goat.
The AIG is a student-service organization affiliated with Minnesota State University Moorhead. It provides opportunities for faculty, students and other residents of the Fargo-Moorhead area to get more acquainted with Africa.
