MOORHEAD - A $14.9 million Minnesota State University Moorhead library and computer center project is included in Gov. Mark Dayton's bonding bill.
Livingston Lord Library, built in the 1960s, is inefficient in terms of energy use and space use, officials have said.
In addition to providing library services, the building is the main information technology hub for the campus.
MSUM officials were pleased Monday to hear the project made Dayton's list.
The project was included in a bonding bill a year ago, but was vetoed by Gov. Tim Pawlenty.

"The library is the heart of a university campus," said university spokesman Doug Hamilton. "The renovation of Livingston Lord Library and its computer center would enhance our study and research activities with state-of-the-art technology. We hope the Legislature concurs."
