MSUM presents excellence awards

Several members of the Minnesota State University Moorhead community have been recognized for noteworthy contributions.

Several members of the Minnesota State University Moorhead community have been recognized for noteworthy contributions. The Academic Affairs Council an-nounced the awards at a faculty dinner.

The winners are:

- Excellence in teaching: Timothy Decker, Corrick Center, and Jody Mattern, mass communications.

- Excellence in research: Linda Fusilier, biosciences, and Terry Shoptaugh, library.

- Excellence in service to students: Deanne Borgeson, special education, and Ruth Lumb, business administration

- Excellence in service to first-year students: Corrick Center for General Education and Dragons After Dark.

- Excellence in service to the community: Tom Brandau and Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson, film studies, and Deb Kukowski, paralegal.

- Excellence in service to the university: Jo Berg, academic affairs.

- Excellence in service from the community: Judy and Greg Peterson.
