MSUM professor to read from novel

Minnesota State University Moorhead English professor Liz Severn will read from her novel, "The Stiff, Waxy Sense of Things," at 7 p.m. Friday at the Spirit Room, Fargo.

Minnesota State University Moorhead English professor Liz Severn will read from her novel, "The Stiff, Waxy Sense of Things," at 7 p.m. Friday at the Spirit Room, Fargo.

Her novel centers on two very different middle-aged sisters at a bed-and-breakfast in fictional Carthage, N.D., along the Red River.

Severn teaches writing at MSUM and is working on a memoir. The reading is free and open to the public.
