MOORHEAD - A Minnesota lawmaker says infrastructure is still a top priority.
On Tuesday, April 11, Minnesota House Speaker Kurt Daudt stopped in Moorhead to give a legislative update.
He focused on what the Legislature plans to do with the state's $1.6 billion surplus.
He says much of that will go toward tax relief.
Daudt also told Mayor Del Rae Williams that the long-awaited railway underpass in Moorhead is still on the table.

It failed with last session's bonding bill and is not yet included in this session's transportation measure.
"It's far too much sacrifice to not to have passed that provision sooner. So it's a big priority for our caucus, said Daudt. "We're optimistic we can get it done as either part of a transportation package or part of bonding package this next year."
Daudt says the Legislature hopes to overhaul the state's health care system before the end of the session.
