Murder suspect returned to Fargo today, jailed in Cass County

FARGO - A Fargo man accused of stabbing his wife to death and trying to cover up the evidence has been extradited from St. Cloud, Minn., and is now being held in Fargo.

FARGO - A Fargo man accused of stabbing his wife to death and trying to cover up the evidence has been extradited from St. Cloud, Minn., and is now being held in Fargo.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office picked up 50-year-old Henry Leo Deniger at the Stearns County Jail in St. Cloud on Monday and transported him to Fargo, where he was booked into the Cass County Jail shortly after 6 p.m, an official at the jail confirmed.

Deniger is accused of killing his 52-year-old wife, Kathye Deniger, who was found stabbed to death March 6 in their apartment at 2601 14th St. S.

Police arrested Deniger the next day in St. Cloud. His transfer from Stearns to Cass County was approved Friday by a judge.
