The North Dakota Highway Patrol's Southeast Region is participating in the "Click it or Ticket Safety Restraint Enforcement Blitz."
Troopers will be concentrating enforcement efforts on seat belt and child restraint violators during the blitz which begins Monday and lasts through Thursday, a news release said.
The Highway Patrol is asking the public to properly fasten seat belts and make sure children are properly restrained while driving.
In 2007, there were 95 traffic fatalities in North Dakota where safety restraints were applicable.
Sixty-eight percent of those killed were not using safety restraints, the release said.
