A Hamilton, N.D., man has been sentenced in Clay County District Court to three and a half years in prison on a drug charge.
Gary D. Thordarson, 41, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree attempted manufacture of methamphetamine.
According to court records, Thordarson was found sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of a Dilworth store in October in possession of items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
In other recent court action:
- Michael L. Nepstad, 35, 3525F Village Green Drive, Moorhead, was convicted of first-degree burglary.

He was fined $50 and given three years and nine months in prison.
The charge stemmed from an incident in October.
- Gerald A. Koel Sr., 41, Fort Gibson, Okla., was convicted of nonpayment of child support.
He was fined $50 and given 30 days in jail, with additional time stayed for two years. He was also ordered to pay toward arrears.
Koel was given credit for time already served.
- Daniel A. Warren, 38, Hitterdal, Minn., was convicted of DWI.
He was fined $1,500 and given a year in jail, with additional time stayed for seven years.
Warren was given credit for time already served. He will be allowed to do community service work in lieu of the fine.

The charge stemmed from an incident in December.
- Ricky J. Thesing, 33, Barnesville, Minn., was convicted of nonpayment of child support.
He was fined $50 and given 30 days in jail.
Thesing was ordered to remain current with child support payments and to pay toward arrears.
