FARGO-The Republican National Committee is embarking on a large digital advertising campaign to put pressure on Senate Democrats in targeted states, including Sen. Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota, to publicly commit to an up-or-down vote regarding Neil Gorsuch, President Donald Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court.
The RNC said in a release that the six-figure ad campaign will also push for other Republican agenda items, including repeal of the Affordable Care Act and replacing it with the American Health Care Act.
A series of videos supporting Gorsuch will run on Facebook in a dozen targeted states, including North Dakota and Wisconsin, the release stated.
"Americans across the country are excited about the bold Republican agenda President Trump and Congressional Republicans have put forward to address some of our nation's most pressing issues," RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in the release.
