BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota's Supreme Court has upheld the convictions of a West Fargo couple accused of using two children as sex toys.

In separate rulings, the Supreme Court affirmed the convictions of Andrew and Sharon Muhle of West Fargo.

The Muhles were charged with rape and child neglect in the alleged molestation of a 9-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl.

The Muhles were convicted after a joint trial in May 2006. They filed separate Supreme Court appeals.

The Muhles asserted they were innocent and said East Central District Judge Steve McCullough should not have allowed some testimony by the youngsters. The Supreme Court unanimously rejected their arguments.
