The North Dakota State University Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering has added eight employees to its staff.

Cynthia Rott is the accounting manager. She was previously employed as an auditor for the North Dakota Office of the State Auditor, an accounting instructor at Jamestown (N.D.) College and an accountant for NDSU.

Seva Balbyshev and Konstantin Pokhodnya are research scientists.

Balbyshev was previously employed as a research scientist at Universal Technology Corp. in Dayton, Ohio.

Pokhodnya has more than 30 years combined experience working at the Institute of Semiconductors in Kiev, Ukraine, and at Ohio State University's physics department in Columbus, Ohio.

Robert Gilbertson, Timothy Mack, and Aaron Halvorsen are research engineers.

Gilbertson has 31 years of experience in the electronics field, including 11 years as an engineer. He was previously employed as a principal development engineer at StoneL Corp., Fergus Falls, Minn.

Mack and Halvorsen were previously employed at CNSE as undergraduate research assistants for two years and engineer apprentices for one year.

Darci Hansen and Linda Leick are engineering lab assistants. They were previously employed at Vansco Electronics, Valley City, N.D. Hansen was an electronics assembler. Leick was a surface mount technology operator.
