Dr. Scott Walden has been named director of animal resources and attending veterinarian at North Dakota State University.

Walden previously served as assistant director of the department of research animal resources at the University of Minnesota.

He also previously served as on-site veterinarian for the University of Minnesota Veterinary Farm in Rosemount, Minn., and as manager for the University of Minnesota Hormel Institute, Austin.

Walden earned a bachelor's degree from Mayville (N.D.) State University, and a doctorate from Iowa State University, Ames.
