NDSU sets homecoming week activities

For its largest homecoming ever, North Dakota State University kicks off a "Viva Las Vegas"-themed week of events beginning Monday.

The festivities begin with a meet-the-candidates social from 10-11:30 a.m. Monday, in the Alumni Memorial Union.

On Talent Tuesday, students will showcase their abilities, relax and enjoy refreshments from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Union Studio, Memorial Union.

Friday, NDSU's soccer and volleyball teams will play against Montana State University at Billings and University of South Dakota at 4 and 7 p.m., respectively.

At 7:30 p.m., the homecoming king and queen will be crowned in the Festival Concert Hall.

Floats and marching bands will line University Drive at 10 a.m. Saturday, beginning at 17th Avenue North heading south to the T Lot.

Students will get revved up in a pre-game Bison feed and pep rally at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Bison Sports Arena.

The Bison football team will battle Minnesota State University Mankato at 1 p.m. at the Fargodome.
