Neighborhood crime meeting set

Fargo's Planning Department will host its third Neighborhood Series meeting at 7 tonight in the City Commission room above the downtown Civic Center.

Fargo's Planning Department will host its third Neighborhood Series meeting at 7 tonight in the City Commission room above the downtown Civic Center.

The meeting, which is open to anyone, will focus on crime. A representative from the Fargo Police Department will be on hand to present information and crime statistics.

Emerging crime trends in Fargo and how neighborhoods can protect themselves will be discussed, according to Dawn Mayo, assistant city planner.

In addition, a representative from the Horace Mann Neighborhood Association will attend the meeting to talk about different activities and events that neighborhood groups can organize.
