Fargo's new south branch library will be named the Dr. James Carlson Library after the PRACS Institute founder who pledged $1 million toward its construction.
The announcement was made this morning as ground was broken at the new library site at 32nd Avenue and 28th Street.
Carlson is the partner/ co-founder and CEO of PRACS Institute in Fargo.
Construction on the project will start in about two weeks.
The south branch library will cost about $2.8 million.
